Let us know how we can help.
Reverse osmosis (RO) systems purify water by forcing it through a semi-permeable membrane under high pressure, separating water molecules from dissolved impurities and contaminants.
The Process:
RO systems use a semi-permeable membrane with tiny pores that allow water molecules to pass through but block larger molecules like salts, minerals, and other contaminants.
Water is pumped through the system at a high pressure, overcoming the natural osmotic pressure that would otherwise prevent the water from moving across the membrane.
The clean water passes through the membrane, while the contaminants are left behind and flushed away as a waste stream.
Benefits of RO Systems:
High Purity: RO systems can remove up to 99% of dissolved solids and contaminants, resulting in very pure water.
Removes a Wide Range of Contaminants including lead, fluoride, chlorine, and dissolved salts. RO systems are also very effective in
the removal of water borne virus, bacteria and cycts.
Applications:
Drinking Water: RO systems are commonly used to produce high-purity drinking water for homes and businesses. These can be under counter mounted or whole house units.
Industrial Processes: RO is also used in various industrial applications, such as large scale water purification, car washes, breweries and hospitals.
